Description : Tolu Balsam Absolute Extra Oil is derived from the resin secretion of Myroxylon balsamum tree by alcohol extraction method. It is obtained from the bark exudate of balsam tolu tree. It gives excellent effects in hyacinth, tuberose, gardenia, honeysuckle, stephanotis and numerous other sweet floral fragrances.

Constituents : Benzyl- & cinnamyl esters of benzoic acid and cinnamic acid.

Uses : Tolu Balsam Absolute Extra Oil has been used by aroma therapists for bronchitis, chapped skin, colds, coughing, eczema, the flu, poor circulation, rashes, sensitive skin, and nervous and stress disorders. It is also believed to promote growth of epithelial cells. In flavors, it is a useful fixative for baked goods where the fixative effect protects the flavor from evaporating. To use this oil, it must be thinned or heated so that it becomes liquid.
