Description : Nutmeg is the seed or ground spice of several species of the genus Myristica. Myristica fragrans is a dark-leaved evergreen tree cultivated for two spices derived from its fruit: nutmeg and mace. It is also a commercial source of an essential oil and nutmeg butter.

Constituents : a-pinene, b-pinene, d-Pinene, camphene, d-Linalool, Dipentene, d-Borneol, sabinene, myrcene, a-terpinene, a-phellandrene, Geraniol, Myristicin, i-Terpineol, limonene, y-terpinene, 1,8-cineole, linalool, terpinen-4-ol, methyl eugenol, safrole, myristicin.
