Description : The curry tree is a tropical to sub-tropical tree in the family Rutaceae, which is native to India and Sri Lanka. Its leaves are used in many dishes in India, Sri Lanka, and neighbouring countries.The leaves of Murraya koenigii are also used as an herb in Ayurvedic medicine in which they are believed to possess anti-diabetic properties.

Constituents : Curry Leaf contains 0.5 – 0.8% essential oil with a decrease as the leaves mature. In the essential oil, alpha and beta pinene and caryophyllene exist and these are also common in allspice, clove and cinnamon. |
