Description : 
Lovage Levisticum officinale, is a tall perennial plant, the sole species in the genus Levisticum ... The stems and leaves are shiny glabrous green to yellow-green and smell somewhat similar to celery when crushed. Lovage is a plant. The root and underground stem (rhizome) are used to make medicine. Lovage is used as “irrigation therapy” for pain and swelling of the lower urinary tract, for prevention of kidney stones, and to increase the flow of urine when urinary tract infections or fluid retention is present.


Constituents :
 The main components in the oil were β-Phellandrene (42.5%) andα-terpineol (27.9%). Other notable constituents were cis-β-ocimene (7.5%) and dehydro-1,8-cineol(6.8%).


Uses :
 you can add a few drops of The lovage essential oil into your aroma lamp, bath water, inhaler, light bulb ring, massage oil or mist spray.


Benefit : The lovage essential oil is helpful in treating jaundice, chronic constipation, skin diseases and inflammation of the eyes. During the Middle Ages, this herb was very popular for healing rheumatism, malaria, sore throat and kidney stones.
