Description : Myrrh has a distinctive, decadent spicy aroma and is used for it's antiseptic and skin soothing qualities as well as to add warmth to fragrance blends. myrrh resinoid comes from the bitter myrrh tree or Commiphora myrrha, a species native to Somalia. Myrrh is a resin, or sap-like substance, that comes from a tree called Commiphora myrrha, common in Africa and the Middle East.
Constituents : Main Constituents of the oil are a-pinene, Cadinene, Limonene, Cuminaldehyde, Eugenol m-cresol, Heerabolene, Acetic acid, Formic acid, Other sesquiterpenes & acids
Uses : Myrrh is applied directly to the mouth for soreness and swelling, inflamed gums (gingivitis), loose teeth, canker sores, bad breath, and chapped lips. It is also used topically for hemorrhoids, bedsores, wounds, abrasions, and boils. In foods and beverages, myrrh is used as a flavoring component.
