Description : 
myrtle is a native across the Mediterranean region, Macaronesia, western Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. It is also cultivated. The plant is an evergreen shrub or small tree, growing to 5 metres (16 ft) tall. The myrtle flower has a rich history as a flower of love and marriage. This star-shaped flower is typically white and adorns the branches of an evergreen shrub native to Europe and North Africa.


Constituents :
 Cineole, Nerol, Geraniol, Myrtenol, myrtenol acetate, linalool (20%), limonene (23%), pinene (14%), p-cymene, cineol (11%), geraniol, nerol, phenylpropanoid, methyleugenol.


Uses :
 Myrtle essential oil is used as an antiseptic, disinfectant and expectorant and is said to be more powerful than Tea Tree. In aromatherapy, it is valued for its fresh scent with uplifting benefits on your emotions and the ability to soothe, body and mind.


Benefit : Myrtle essential oil is valued for its astringent properties. It can help address oily skin, open pores, sagging skin, and acne. It is also used as a base to help treat hemorrhoids because of its high tannin content.
