Description : Davana Essential Oil (Artemisia pallens) is also known as Dhavanam. It is a dark yellow to brown liquid with a sweet and fruity aroma. Its main constituents are davanone and linalool. This oil is used in perfumery in chypre and fougere fragrances, which may include strongly coloured ingredients like labdanum and oakmoss. The davana plant is a small and aromatic herbaceous plant which is native to the Southern part of India, especially to the states of Karnataka,Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. It is also known by its botanical name of Artemisia Pallens.
