Description : 
Lantana essential oil has a strong, sharp, green scent reminiscent of sage dalmatian with hints of dill and a woody background. Lantana is a shrub-like plant that may grow up to 45 centimeters high that sometimes goes by the name Wild Sage or Yellow Sage. It has opposing, serrated leaves and flowers borne in flat-topped clusters. 


Constituents : 
bicyclogermacrene (19.4%), isocaryophyllene (16.7%), valencene (12.9%) and germacrene D (12.3%) were the main constituents of the oil from L. camara, while in the oil from L. montevidensis, ß-caryophyllene (31.5%), germacrene D (27.5%) and bicyclogermacrene (13.9%)


Uses :
 Lantana Essential Oil has been used for itchy skin, wounds, cuts, eczema, measles, chicken pox, scabies and leprosy. Other applications have included bronchitis, asthma, rheumatism, swellings, malaria, high blood pressure, and even tumours.


Benefit :  It is known to be anti-catarrh, antiviral, antitumor, cicatrizant, emmenagogue, mucolytic. Skin: wounds, cuts, ulcers.
