Description :
 Anise is also called Chinese star anise (Illicium verum), which is widely used in Asian countries and used to make the drug Tamiflu. Today, many pharmaceuticals seek to take advantage of anise's benefits by adding the herb to certain drugs, like cough syrup and throat medications.


Constituents : 
Anethol (present to about 90 per cent), fixed oil, sugar, choline and mucilage,Anethole.

How to use : 
Add a few drops to a bowl of steaming water and cover your head with a towel, allowing the steam to ease congestion. Aniseed oil is used for oiling the hair. It has proven its usefulness in hair regrowth. It also helps in repairing the damaged hair. If aniseed oil is massaged well into the scalp, it aids the growth of new hair. Anise oil is capable of keeping your skin healthy and lustrous. Aniseed oil mixed with shea butter or any other oil can work wonders. This oil provides instant relief from spots, acne, and damaged skin. It helps your skin become soft, smooth, and glowing.

Anise Star Essential oil have antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant, stimulant and expectorant properties. This is why anise oil is often used or added to medicine, such as cough syrups and lozenges. Anise essential oil also displays potent antioxidant action.


Caution Note:
  Like other essential oils, anise oil should first be diluted before use. Essential oils are highly concentrated and may cause sensitization in the user. Oil of anise should be first mixed with carrier oils like sweet almond oil, wheatgerm oil and jojoba oil. Once diluted, anise oil works best when inhaled or used in a diffuser. It can also be applied topically as a massage oil. Keep it away from children.  Not to be used on children.  Always first test a small amount of essential oil for sensitivity or allergic reaction. Do not use essential oil with homeopathic remedies.  Keep it in a dark glass bottle with a dropper.
