Description :
 Anise is also called Chinese star anise (Illicium verum), which is widely used in Asian countries and used to make the drug Tamiflu. Today, many pharmaceuticals seek to take advantage of anise's benefits by adding the herb to certain drugs, like cough syrup and throat medications. Star anise comes from Illicium verum, a type of evergreen tree native to certain parts of Vietnam and China. The tree produces a fruit known as star anise that is used as a spice to add flavor to a variety of dishes. The fruit is picked before ripening and then dried in the sun to allow it to harden. It is characterized by its distinct star shape, reddish-orange color and strong aroma.

How to use : 
taken in low dosages, it helps clear motions and cures constipation, resultant flatulence, and indigestion.

Anise star essential oil include analgesic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aperitive, aphrodisiac, calmative, cardiac, carminative, digestive, disinfectant, diuretic (mild), estrogenic, expectorant, insecticide, stimulant (circulatory and digestive system; respiratory tract), stomachic, tonic, warming.


Caution Note:
  Like other essential oils, Anise Star Essential oil should first be diluted before use. Essential oils are highly concentrated and may cause sensitization in the user. Oil of anise should be first mixed with carrier oils like sweet almond oil, wheatgerm oil and jojoba oil. Once diluted, anise oil works best when inhaled or used in a diffuser. It can also be applied topically as a massage oil. Keep it away from children.  Not to be used on children.  Always first test a small amount of essential oil for sensitivity or allergic reaction. Do not use essential oil with homeopathic remedies.  Keep it in a dark glass bottle with a dropper.
