Description : 
Guaiacwood oil is extracted via steam distillation process from the wood and sawdust of the plants. Guaiacwood is an ornamental forevergreen tree with pretty great blue flowers and the trunk is greenish brown in color. It is traditionally used for treating rheumatoid arthritis and rheumatish gout and venereal disease.


Constituents : Constituents of the oil are guaiol (40 - 72%) beta Guaiene and bulnesol, 


Common Name : Guaiacwood Oil

Uses : In this oil spice oleoresin is widely used for food parepare as a spice. It has germicidal, antiseptic, fluid extract and tincture Guaiacwood are used in pharmacology as a diagnostic reagent in some blood tests. Guaiacwood oil finds usage in the treatment of arthritis, gout and rheumatoid arthritis. It can also be used as a fixative and fragrance in cosmetics and soaps.


Benefit : Guaiacwood is an excellent fixative, especially for woody-floral perfumes. In the previous has been used to adulterate Rose absolute as well as amryis and sandalwood.
