CHAMOMILE (BLUE) ESSENTIAL OIL

Description : Chamomile Blue extract comes with a deep blue color. Stream distilled, the extract is taken from the flower head and has a strong aromatic smell. It has azulene content between 4.5 – 5% that provides it a deep blue color. Blue Chamomile Essential Oil is extracted from Matricaria chamomilla (M. recutica) of the same family and is also well recognized by the names of chamomile blue, Hungarian chamomile and single chamomile. It has a straw-like fragrance, sweet and dark blue in color with medium viscosity.

Constituents : Bisabolol oxide A, a-bisabolol, Chamazulene, bisabolol oxide B & bisabolone oxide A, coumarins, plant acids, volatile oil, flavonoids, cyanogenic glycosides, fatty acids, polysa, salicylate derivatives.

Uses : Chamomile (Blue) oil is used for treating any type of external or internal inflammation and is very effective for urinary stones (bladder gravel). This oil helps in stimulating liver and gall bladder, thereby enhancing digestion and treating menopausal and menstrual problems. When used on skin, it has a soothing effect for treating red, dry & irritated skin as well as psoriasis, calming allergies, eczema and other flaky skin problems.

Benefit : Chamomile Blue is also a powerful anti-inflammatory agent, used against sore stomach, gentle sleep aid and irritable bowel syndrome. It can also be used as a mouthwash against oral mucositis.

Caution Note: Do not take essential oil internally without consultation from a qualified aromatherapy practitioner. Conduct a skin patch test when trying a hydrosol for the first time.
