KEWRA ESSENTIAL OIL

Description : Kewda essential oil is extracted from the flower part of the plant and is prominently used in the food industry due to its aromatic properties. Additionally a pleasant cool and refreshing aroma in house. It mainly finds usage in perfumery/aroma and aromatherapy based applications.

Constituents : 2-phenyl ethyl methyl ether (37.7%), terpinen-4-ol (18.6%), α-terpineol (8.3%) & 2-phenyl ethyl alcohol (7.5%).

Common Names : Screw Pine, Kevada

Uses : Kewra is excellent fixative properties. It is mainly used in aroma and perfumery industry and in aromatherapy applications. It is also used in traditional medicines

Benefit : Kewra leaves are used in Asia to flavor meat dishes as they have a nutty taste. The fragrance of kiora water is similar to rose water, but it has a fruitier flavor.
