Constituents : a-pinene, b-pinene, caryophyllene, carvone, 1,8-cineole, limonene, linalool, menthol (0.5% compared to the 40% in peppermint) and myrcene.

Uses : People use spearmint essential oil for conditions such as flatulence, indigestions, nausea, vomiting, and other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. Spearmint essential oil is milder and can be used around children. Inhaling its fragrance may help fatigue and mental stress.
